Vestberg was the chairman of the Swedish Handball Federation from 2007 to 2016. [1] [2] [3] He left the Swedish Handball Federation to serve as president of the Swedish Olympic Committee from 2016 to 2018 as the country vied to host the 2026 Winter Olympics. [4] [2] [5] Vestberg had previously played semipro handball in Brazil. [4]

Personal life

Vestberg is married and has two children. [4] Vestberg is multilingual; he is fluent in Swedish, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. [4]
