Silas Bronson (February 15, 1788 (1788-02-15) - November 24, 1867 (1867-11-24)) was a philanthropist and merchant from Middlebury, Connecticut. He bequeathed US$200,000 to found the public library in Waterbury that now bears his name.

Woodsey is a toy line that was launched by Fisher-Price in 1979. It was manufactured as a series of playsets featuring small woodland creatures, and targeted towards very young children. The franchise also comprised kitchen items, furniture and companion books illustrated by Cyndy Szekeres and Michael Hague.

The Woodsey line was discontinued in 1981.

Diane Shaffer is an actress and Broadway playwright. She was one of the four members of the New York a cappella quartet, The Steinettes.

Shaffer received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York University's School for the Arts,[ when?] and served as a member of its Actor's Studio Playwrights/Directors Unit. [Shaffer 1]

Shaffer dedicated her first Broadway effort, 1995's Sacrilege, to Jack Shaffer. The play premiered at the Stamford Center for the Arts, then moved to New York's Belasco Theater. The Broadway version was directed by Don Scardino and starred Ellen Burstyn, Brian Tarantina, Giancarlo Esposito and Herb Foster. [Shaffer 1]
