Hi! I'm Ships & Space. I was born in
Portland, Oregon, but I've lived most of my life in the
San Francisco Bay Area. I currently live in the
East Bay. I'm a student at
Chabot College, and my major is probably going to be either
astronomy (or possibly
astrophysics) or
engineering (probably
astronautics). I'm not currently employed (that's different from being
unemployed), but that might change in the near–ish future. I've long been a reader of Wikipedia. I was diagnosed as
autistic at the age of one, and it's (partly) why I'm very introverted.
If you can't tell from
my userpage, I like Star Trek. I like it a lot. Without a doubt, it's my favorite media franchise. I was introduced to
TOS when I was about 12, and I've been hooked since. Maybe it's the promise of a better future, of a place to belong; the neet ships and (possibly way too in–depth) descriptions and
classification; or maybe the
epic moral speeches. Regardless of which of these is the main contributor, there's no denying it: the
fan service doesn't hurt. Jokes (attempted) aside, the promise of a
utopia is quite appealing.
