Biography

Professional

I am a software development manager currently working for Best Buy in Richfield, MN. Previous to becoming a dev manager, I developed software for about 9 years. I have experience mostly in the LAMP stack ( HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Apache, Linux). I also have a lot of experience developing application software in C++ and C#, but none recent.

I have also worked a great deal with copy editing. I was the editor of my school newspaper contribution to my local newspaper (Dell Rapids Tribune), was the Assistant Editor of that paper for 3 years and continued to contribute editorials at my university as I finished my CSc degree.

Personal

I enjoy a great number of things. I enjoy watching anime, entering programming competitions, and playing music. I am a bassoonist and pianist, although I am more comfortable as a vocalist. I also love disc golf, swimming, and canoeing. Some of my favorite TV shows are Battlestar Galactica ( old and new), Lie to Me, Fringe, and American Dad.
