Farzana Rahman is a PhD student at the Genomics and Computational Biology Research Group at the
University of South Wales, UK. She is an
open science enthusiast and STEM ambassador. She is actively involved with
STEMNET as an ambassador for the Wales region since 2011. She is keen to promote and enhance the Next Generation of Computational Biologists community. With this vision in mind, Farzana got connected with the International Society for Computational Biology's
Student Council ( ISCB SC) since 2013. She has chaired
SCS 2014 in Boston, 1st
RSG UK symposium and co-chaired
SCS 2015 in Dublin. She is elected as the Chair of the
ISCB Student Council for 2017-2018. She has served as the secretary of the ISCB SC and Vice Chair of the
RSGs for the European Countries for the years 2015-2016 and now serving as the core committee member of the
education and internships committee of the ISCB SC.
