Red Thorns is a rock band formed in 2010. Over the first three years, the band covered songs from many famous rock bands and as of 2014 is currently recording original material for a debut album. The band disbanded in 2014, only to reform a year later.

Red Thorns goes back to 2009, when it began as an unnamed underground project formed by Chris Stockbridge and Anastasia Smith in Boston. This project was later christened as Red Thorns and expanded in late 2010. Smith hired guitarist Kristin Calico and Stockbridge hired pianist C.J. Goulden as lead vocalist to this project to complete it.

In August 2011, guitarist Amber Lambert joined the band as a rhythm guitarist. Lambert later suggested her friend Kendra Monroe join the band. Monroe joined late April of 2011 as keyboardist. In early November of 2011, CJ Goulden left to concentrate with his girlfriend's group 2 Two and Stockbridge left to focus on his new project CCTV, Monroe later recruited her husband Kendall to fill Goulden's position while Lambert moved to drums. The lineup changed many times after. The following June, Stockbridge put CCTV on hiatus to return to the band. He assumed the role of lead vocalist, moving Kendall to bass, Kendra to lead guitar, and Smith to rhythm guitar. About a week after, Smith left the band.

In early 2014, during the recording of their unreleased debut, Red Thorns disbanded as since their hearts were in other projects. After the demise of Stockbridge's short-lived project CCTV, he reformed Red Thorns, with members instead playing different instruments prior to their split, with Goulden returning to the band as well along with Smith. They have resumed working on their debut, which has an unknown release date.
