Grey ware is a type of pottery that when fired, results in fabric that is grey in colour.
Description
Greyware has been defined by the Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) as " Earthenwares that have gone through a process of "controlled exclusion of oxygen from the kiln during the latter stage of firing, resulting in more or less uniform grey fabric of varying hue". [1]
