Karen Krizanovich is a journalist, writer, film researcher and broadcaster based in the United Kingdom.

Karen Krizanovich came to prominence in the 1990s as Sky Magazine's ^[1] sarcastic advice columnist "Dear Karen" ^{[2] [3]}. She continues to work as a journalist and broadcaster. She is also a film researcher with credits on various movies including Gravity (2013) ^[4]. Dear Karen is mentioned in the lyrics of the Manic Street Preachers' song about anorexia called [4st 7lbs] ^{[5] [6]}

In 2010, Krizanovich conceived, researched and presented a Whistledown Production/BBC Radio 4's radio documentary. Svelte Sylvia and the Hollywood Trimsters ^[7] focused on ‘Sylvia of Hollywood’, an early fitness and diet specialist for the American film industry.

Karen Krizanovich is also the author of The Infographic Guide to the Movies ^[8].
