CISTA (Politcal Party)

CISTA is a single-issue political party campaigning for a review of the UK's cannabis laws. Inspired by the successful campaign to legalise cannabis in Colorado, internet entrepreneur and Bebo co-founder Paul Birch launched the party in February 2015. CISTA's key goal is to convene a Royal Commission into cannabis law reform. Overall, the party has [how many?] candidates standing across the UK in the 2015 General Election.

Royal Commission

As a single-issue party, CISTA functions to hold other politcal organisation to account around drug law reform relating to cannabis. By calling for a Royal Commission in to this issue, CISTA intends to facilitate formalised cross-party debate in the House of Commons.
