Grammar: You may have noticed that at the bottom-right of my
user page, I say that this page is based off of
User:Trevor MacInnis's. You may think that the proper way to say that is with out the "s" after the apostrophe. It is correct with or with out the extra "s," however the single apostrophe is supposed to be used when referring to Biblical Times.
Grammar: On almost every article on
Wikipedia where you see a quote, you will commonly see it in the form of "(quote text here)". That is wrong. The correct way of using punctuation in quotes is by remembering that the punctuation mark ALMOST ALWAYS goes to the LEFT of the quotation mark.Example: he said,"I think therefore I am." There are several exceptions to this rule that include question marks. Unless the quote is an actual question, the question mark is to remain outside. Example: Did she say, "I am going to the movies"?
