Ervin G. Batacan (4 December 1980) born and raised at Caniogan, Pasig city, Philippines. His parents are Mr. Victor Villaflor Batacan✝ and Ms. Fe Elena Villanueva Gervacio✝; he has a younger brother named Vincent.

He was greatly influenced in the field of Arts by his father. At the age of 9 he was sent by his father in a Summer Art Workshop at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila.

Ervin finished elementary (1986-1993) and secondary education (1993-1997) at Pasig Catholic College, and graduated BFA - Major in Industrial Design at University of the Philippines, Diliman (1997-2001). Initially after graduating college, he worked as a freelance Product Designer/Consultant at (APFTI) Advocate of Philippine Fair Trade, Inc. (July 2001-July 2003/January 2004-May 2006). He became part of the Consolidated Creative Resources as a Managing Associate (January 2003-January 2004).

A professional member of the National Council of Industrial Designers of the Philippines (2003), and 10-29 Designers for Fair Trade (2004). He worked as OIC/Design Department & Jewelry Designer at CJ Jewellers Corporation (July 2003-January 2004).

Ervin got married to his loving wife Irish Rosselle T. Garcia on the 9th of June 2005; and they were blessed with two wonderful kids, Ethan and Iylah Rose.

He also worked as a Graphic Artist at Dinsmor (May 2006-January 2007), a Graphic Designer/Visual Merchandiser at Triumph International (Philippines) Inc. (February 2007-October 2012), and as a Faculty Member under the Industrial Design Program at De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde (September 2012-December 2014).

He entered the Retail business unit of Primer Group of Companies - Luggage Trading and Services, Inc. (LTS) as a Visual Merchandiser (November 2012); and got promoted as a Visual Merchandising Supervisor (July 2016). He got another promotion as a Visual Merchandising Manager (January 2019) under Primer Group of Companies - Uniglobe Travelware Co., Inc. (UTCI).

When the CoVid-19 pandemic hit the global industry, he was transferred to the E-comm business unit of Primer Group of Companies - Aeroworx and served as the Content Production Manager (June 2020-March 2023). He came back in the Retail business unit as the Visual Merchandiser Manager of Primer Group of Companies - Uniglobe Travelware Co., Inc. (April 2023-Present).
