Someone else had User:Equilibrium already, so I needed
some numbers to tack on to the end.
Other things:
Programming. It's been a hobby of mine for a long time. My favorite languages to program in these days are
ActionScript and
Python because they let you leverage things so easily. I have, however, programmed in
C++, and not just in C++ but with
DirectX, and it was the most labyrinthine, painstaking thing I have ever had to do in programming. I might have listed the languages that I have experience in, but it occurred to me that - more or less - once you have a grasp on one language, you can pretty easily get a grasp on the others in a day or two even if you aren't immediately "Pythonic" or what have you.
Politics. I'm most interested in political and economic stuff. I used to (when I was 16 or so) fancy myself as something of a
socialist but I was never really committed to the idea. A PBS documentary based on the book
Commanding Heights warmed me to the idea that markets weren't so bad and I became an economist and something of a
pragmatist.
