Cross-platform is an umbrella term for features of video games that interconnect multiple
platform versions of the same game. There are many types. Cross-buy means that players who purchase one console's version of the game also receive the version for another console.[1]Cross-play is the ability to compete with players on other consoles[2] or to play one game on multiple consoles simultaneously.[3]Cross-save lets players save a game on one console and load it to continue playing on another console.[4]
