	POTD misc. ^ Cirsium palustre, the marsh thistle, is a herbaceous biennial (or often perennial) flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is native to Europe, where it is particularly common on damp ground such as marshes, wet fields, moorland and beside streams. In Canada and the northern United States it is an introduced species that has become invasive. It grows in dense thickets that can crowd out slower growing native plants. Cirsium palustre can reach up to 2 metres (7 ft) in height and features strong stems with few branches which are covered in small spines. In its first year the plant grows as a dense rosette and in subsequent years a candelabra of dark purple or occasionally white flowers, 10–20 millimetres (0.4–0.8 in) with purple-tipped bracts. In the northern hemisphere these are produced from June to September. The plant provides an important source of nectar for pollinators. Hi! I'm Dare2Leap, an editor in Semarang, Indonesia. Here, I mainly correct spelling and grammar and occasionally clean articles and add/update information. After a while, I quit. Then, on 2019, a video about tidepods on YouTube by Chubbyemu appeared. I watched it, then I came to Wikipedia to edit the article about the consumption of tidepods. Then I created my user page in 31 August 2019. I started editing Wikipedia again when I edited Telecommunications of East Timor in 8 March 2020. At that time, the COVID-19 was becoming a pandemic. But, on 21 July 2020, things went to overdrive. I was watching Unbox Therapy's livestream about the first AR launch of a phone, the OnePlus Nord. I brought that article from stub in 21 July 2020 to C-Class with some B-Class characteristics within 14 days, before the launch date (4 August 2020) (there may have been some bias there, sorry). But, in December 2020, I started to take a break from Wikipedia and do other things. I began to pick up again in May 2021, primarily editing articles to fix grammar. That's where I am now. I may become more active in Wikipedia in the future, or abandon Wikipedia altogether, but time will tell.

[fn0-1] Cirsium palustre, the marsh thistle, is a herbaceous biennial (or often perennial) flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is native to Europe, where it is particularly common on damp ground such as marshes, wet fields, moorland and beside streams. In Canada and the northern United States it is an introduced species that has become invasive. It grows in dense thickets that can crowd out slower growing native plants. Cirsium palustre can reach up to 2 metres (7 ft) in height and features strong stems with few branches which are covered in small spines. In its first year the plant grows as a dense rosette and in subsequent years a candelabra of dark purple or occasionally white flowers, 10–20 millimetres (0.4–0.8 in) with purple-tipped bracts. In the northern hemisphere these are produced from June to September. The plant provides an important source of nectar for pollinators. This C. palustre flower was photographed in Niitvälja, Estonia.
