I am the main founder and president of the
Open Knowledge Association (OKA), a non-profit granting stipends to full-time Wikipedia translators. The articles we created are listed
here. The work I do on Wikipedia and for OKA is during my free-time only, without any link to my
full-time activity or to my employer.
My philosophy for life is
Effective altruism. I fix what I find when browsing Wikipedia and try to contribute on pages where I feel that it would maximize my
Social return on investment. In particular, I tend to focus on the fields of statistics, game theory, computer science and economics. I spend most of my time on the
lead section of articles, on simplifying definitions and clarifying the differences between similar terms and topics.
Personal contributions
I keep here a list of my main Wikipedia contributions (outside of the work on OKA), mostly to keep a personal history but also for transparency. Note that I am not an expert on any of those topics, but that I only make changes when I have reached a high level of confidence in the accuracy of what I wrote.
