The House That Jack Built; or, Harlequin Progress, and the Love's Laughs, Laments and Labors is a 1869 Australian stage play by
William Mower Akhurst. It was adapted for Sydney audiences by an unknown author in 1871.[2][3]
It has been called the first Australian written play to impact upon a significant number of theatregoers.[4]
