Colour

I just encountered a student here doing a reaction using SeO2. In her NMR tube a red solid appeared, which apparently is the precipitating selenium ("red amorphous solid" forming in the reaction as noted in OrgSyn; I incorporated the info now in selenium dioxide). This box does not include that info, and I'm not sure how (and if) to incorporate it into the box. Someone? -- Dirk Beetstra T C 16:49, 3 December 2008 (UTC) reply
