Hi. This template is just a prototype, and is not yet meant for use. Please join the discussion on this talk page or
here. Thanks. --

Why did you remove the other characters that I added? I think that these characters (Agane, Hitano, Ornia, Animus etc) contribute heavily to the whole saga. For example, the death of Animus triggered the war between Etheria and the rest of Encantadia. It is important that these characters should be included in the template because they are major characters. Also, if my suggestion that I stated in the
Encantadia talk page will be implemented then this template would serve as a supplement to the absence of the information about the Encantadia universe. --

Hi, Jojit. I'm sorry I wasn't able to immediately explain why I took out some of the characters you added. (I had internet trouble and wasn't able to save my Talk.)
As I say below, my idea of the navigation box is to be an overview of Encantadia. Apparently, your view is different - that it be an information supplement.
I agree that Animus is important, but I don't consider him a major character in the story/saga. I feel he is a footnote rather than necessary knowledge. You don't need to know about Animus to get an idea of what the Encantadia series is about. To make an analogy, Emre is definitely important as the creator of Encantadia and the elemental jewels. However, story-wise he is a minor character. Let's discuss further. Thanks. --

Characters
Which characters should be included in the navigation box?
I conceived the navigation box to be an overview of the entire Encantadia saga. An overview must be concise, so I think the navigation box must also reflect that. Also, another characteristic of a good overview is that it is inviting, especially to people who are reading
about the topic for the first time. By giving readers a well-measured introductory "bite", a
good overview encourages them to read further. On the flip side, an overview/navigation box
that looks overwhelming may discourage readers as being "too much to swallow".
For these reasons, I thought to include only the saga's major characters in the
navigation box. (By the way, I deliberately chose to refer to Encantadia as a "saga" to
highlight its epic feel.) Lesser characters can always be "discovered" in the complete
character listings in each series' article. The next question is to determine what makes a
character "major" in order to see which ones qualify.
I think a major character is one that was significant throughout the saga. (Again, this
follows from the premise that the overview is of the entire saga, not just of one book.)
Encantadia consists of 3 Books so far, so characters that were important in all 3 would be
the "most major" characters. Characters who featured in 2 out of the 3 Books, would be the
"second-most major".
No one will argue that the 4 Sang'gre sisters and Ybrahim are the saga's primary, "most major" characters. I also think that most will consider the royals Mine-a, Raquim, Hagorn, Asval and Cassiopea --due to their significance in the history of Encantadia (as shown in Books 1 & 2) -- major characters.
If including only the above 10 first-level characters is not enough to give an overview of the
saga (which I think is the case), we may also consider the next-level major characters. Personally, I think we can include:
Gurna, Aquil, Imaw and Evades - They have each appeared in at least 2 Books, and, although they themselves played supporting rather than primary roles, they had significant relationships with first-level major characters. Imaw I particularly want to include to have a representative of Adamya.
Lira, Mira, Kahlil and Cassandra - Aside from Lira and Cassandra having appeared in 2 Books, they also have significant relationships with first-level major characters. Additionally, I think presenting the concept of a younger generation of characters (in contrast to the senior generation of Mine-a, Hagorn, et al) would be interesting/appealing.
The 4 surviving Herans - They played major roles in Book 2 (as counterparts to the 4 Sang'gre sisters), and it's looking like they'll still be significant in Book 3. Also, I want to include representatives of Etheria.
My exceptions:
Muros, Apek, Wantuk, Wahid, Banak, Nakba - Though they've appeared in more than one series, their roles weren't major (so far).
Anthony - Major role in Book 1, but not essential to the overall saga.
