Fields
Can you include an optional field for a description of the desired diagram? Then the requests will be tied together and won't be confused by further talk page discussion, etc. —

A subcategory scheme would be good too - the category is getting pretty large. Something like {{reqdiagram|chemistry}} for example.

That sounds like a good idea. It seems like a fair amount of architecture articles use this template, and perhaps a separate template (e.g., "reqarchitectdiagram") could be created for that function.

I've just added a means of specifying the subject of the diagram. Many of the transclusions I've found in articles appear in specific sections, and moving them to the talk page with the same requesting detail is a useful function.

Ambox is intended for templates that are placed on articles. This template is placed on talk pages and is formatted with a style consistent with other talk page templates. Pagrashtak04:46, 4 December 2007 (UTC)reply
This template should go to a talk page, not the article page, right?
Shouldn't this be mentioned in the documentation?--
