Indirect elections

Gubernatorial and senatorial elections are indirect ones by the directly elected members of the provincial assemblies. Isn't it our policies on the english wiki not to include these in the templates? Imo the senate should have a distinct template, and the gubernational elections articles should be summed as a "Consequences" subsection in the provincial ones(yet to be made) in the same way Mayors usually are on pages of municipal elections. -- Aréat ( talk) 20:50, 20 September 2018 (UTC) reply

Yes, you're correct, so they should be removed. I didn't realise the gubernatorial elections were indirect and agree they should be merged into the provincial elections. Number 5 7 21:56, 20 September 2018 (UTC) reply
Good. I'm currently in the process of creating and updating the different elections pages on the french wiki. I'm not promising it will be anytime soon, but once I catch up to the provincial elections, I will also create the pages here, include the infos of the gubernatorial elections, and finally ask for their deletion, if that's ok. Cordially.-- Aréat ( talk) 22:08, 20 September 2018 (UTC) reply
Cool; in the meantime I've removed the two lines from the template. I wouldn't worry about getting the gubernatorial election articles deleted – you can just redirect them to the relevant provincial election articles. Number 5 7 11:36, 21 September 2018 (UTC) reply
