You might want to look more carefully at, and count more carefully, those
hits; since they are generally sales, it came from somewhere (and why is it dropped into the lead but never mentioned or cited in the text, regardless of from which cite it was taken?)

Saying "it came from somewhere" evades the question. We shouldn't cite a source if it's merely plagiarized the text from somewhere else. So again, which of the various sources is to be cited for the information? --
