... that American dermatologist John A. Kenney Jr. was known as the "dean of black dermatology" by many of his colleagues? Source:
[1] "Because of Dr. Kenney's prominence in the field, many colleagues referred to him as the dean of black dermatology." Another source:
[2] "The numerous doctors and researchers he mentored remember him by the nickname—"the dean of black dermatology"—that suggests the stature he achieved in his profession."

All paragraphs cited, although
Earwig has 25% and has picked up a few phrases which are pretty similar to the NYT and WaPo obits, so ideally some of these sentences should be rewritten just to be safe. I'm not sure if this counts as too closely paraphrased though, it's probably fine, but a second opinion from promoter would be benefitial
Hook is interesting, stated in article, cited.
QPQ done
Passed, but like I said before ideally just to have zero qualms about
WP:PARAPHRASING, perhaps some of these flagged phrases should be rewritten

I reworded some of the longer phrases that closely matched the obits. The Earwig figure for the article is now down to 16%; I hope that's low enough.
