As a child, I was taught a patience similar to Yukon but which I've never seen in any published source. And I've never known of any name for said game other than "patience", though in my family we've probably always known that "patience" is a genre and not the name of a single game.
The game I was taught differs from Yukon in these ways:
The initial deal has two face-up cards on the first depot, four on the second, and five on the remainder.
Building on the depots is by suit.
A space must be filled with a single card or sequence of cards in suit, which may have any rank at the top.
