According to my sources this line, although operated by the Midland Railway, was an independent company, the Yorkshire Dales Railway, authorised 6/8/1897, opened 29/7/1902, grouped into the LMSR in 1923, closed to passengers 22/9/1930, closed to goods (presumably this means beyond the quarry) 11/8/1969.
