The reference provided in the article to the NYRA website which runs this race is a deadlink. A new link was found in a verification check using Google as
NYRA.com however the information in the Winners section is a blatant copy from this website.

Does this fall under the facts are not copyrighted? See
Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing in the section Creative expression. "Facts and ideas cannot be protected by copyright, but creative expression is protected." For example, in race horse articles, pedigrees are copied exactly all the time. Also, similar tables are copied of race horse racing records.

Sure, it is copied from the source, that's true. However, the content is statistics with no creative expression as per the policy. It's not that content was copied but what type of content was copied. Not everything is copyrightable. But let the folks over at the problem page weigh in.
