My reference was to listings for a

I have improved this a lot. Can someone who knows about aid for trade, add something to this article or create an article on this linked to World Food Program?
David Thrale 10:46, 24 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Food Aid is a much broader subject than this particular program. It should have its own article surveying food aid programs and especially criticisms of those programs across the globe. Redirecting "food aid" to this article is misleading. —Preceding

Currently the intro of the article also contains the Italian name (Programma Alimentare Mondiale), though it's not really clear in the article why. Any points or takers? Otherwise I will delete it at some point. In kind regards

Is it possible to get a pic of the logo? The laurel leaves with the bundle of corn in the middle? I think that would make a better pic for the page.

I see that in the article the establishing year of the WFP is either 1961 or 1963. Which one is true? I think we should correct this issue.

Imho the Revision of 15:13, October 9, 2020 by AleatoryPonderings ("→Criticisms: rm essay-like and thinly sourced content, consolidate") takes out several value-added points, and makes the article read like a press release on behalf of WFP. The criticisms deleted touch on serious issues that are worth raising.

JCJC777, You're free to revert me, in that case. In my view, this section was a thinly sourced amalgamation of outdated criticisms of the organization. Surely WFP has problems, but we need better sources to establish them, IMO.

EMsmile, Honestly, I don't really see the difference between "controversies" and "criticism". "Reception" sounds more like something for a film or album. Obviously the best solution would be to integrate praise and criticism into a unified "history" or "background" section, but that would take some serious work. The main problem I see with the section as it stands is that it just cherrypicks a few studies/reports and gives them arguably
WP:UNDUE weight. What we want for this section (if it should exist at all) is critique that has appeared in a bunch of different, prominent places.

AleatoryPonderings I've changed it around a bit. I think this new structure complies better with
WP:CRIT and it also addresses your concern of
WP:UNDUE. By removing the level-3 headings this automatically reduces the weight; it also means those sub-headings are no longer in the table of content. What do you think?

Jurisdicta,
MOS:FLAG says no flags in infoboxes, but I'm unclear about its applicability here. The basic idea seems to be Flag icons may be relevant in some subject areas, where the subject actually represents that country or nationality. I don't feel that strongly about this, but wanted to flag (ha!) the potential issue.

Thank you for providing a cite to provide more context to your request
AleatoryPonderings. One of the main takeaways from the source is that flags should not be used for political purposes and the guidance of "Do not emphasize nationality without good reason". Given this is an international organization, the inclusion of the flags used to identify the nationality of the board of directions provides additional insight on international participation in this organization. I believe understanding where the board of directors hail from is an informative insight, I don't feel the use of flags in this instance would be political in nature. That being said, I see your argument and don't think that what you are asking for is unreasonable as the citation does not have hard and fast rules.

Jurisdicta, I definitely see your point as well. Again, I don't feel that strongly about this. I'd be full-on pro-flag if there were some source somewhere that said the WFP looks to have heads from different countries, or has been condemned for not doing so, or has a policy about seeking out international leadership, or something like that to make the country of origin clearly relevant. Perhaps someone else will weigh in to tip the scales on this.

Since Corona entered Africa, 2020, the African community was locked in their homes by their governments, Africa became as a stand still project, to cut it short.
