Perhaps the author could cite his or her source for this, it sounds very weasely. Maybe we could have an altenative title.
woonerf is a Dutch compound noun comprising woon (from the verb wonen, reside, live) + erf (area, sector). The English translation offered in this article is "recreation area"; exactly the opposite of the correct translation: residential area. miltonBradley 13:54, 27 June 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cpoticha ( talk • contribs)
We currently have a number of articles describing pretty much the same concept, including Woonerf, Living street, home zone and complete streets. Can I suggest that we use 'Living street' as the top level article for the concept which describes it in its most general, and use the other articles to describe their implementation in different jurisdictions. For example, home zone would describe in detail approach taken in the UK and the historical process, Woonerf would focus on the Dutch/Flanders experience and Complete streets that of the USA (or should that one cover the North American experience including Canada)? An alternative approach, which doesn't seem as good to me, might be to combine the various articles into one. Any comments? PeterEastern ( talk) 12:21, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
