I really enjoyed reviewing the article on Montalban, so I'm happy to offer some thoughts here. J Milburn ( talk) 19:49, 10 December 2013 (UTC) reply

Onto the prose:

This is very strong- my only major worry comes from the fact that there are some pretty sensational claims sourced to a not-completely-academic work. J Milburn ( talk) 21:04, 10 December 2013 (UTC) reply

Second read-through

Just a few more comments:

Looking very strong; I do think it'll be ready for GA status very soon. After that, perhaps try to find someone to smooth out the prose a little further and you'll be ready for FAC (though be ready to defend the reliability of the Starr book). J Milburn ( talk) 20:17, 18 December 2013 (UTC) reply

Ok, I'm now happy that this is ready for GA status. A bit more work is required before FAC; I'd work to define/link any jargon, and a fresh pair of eyes to give a thorough copyedit would be good. I know you're already looking into a legacy section, which would be an excellent addition. In any case, great work so far, and I do hope to see this at FAC in the future! Date discrepancy

Can anyone tell me why the date of Smith's death stated in the infobox at the top of the article (4 march 1957) is in conflict with both the one provided in the opening line of the article and in the referenced final paragraph as well (27 April 1957)? Quite mysteriously, if you crack open the article's edit page in an attempt to correct the apparently erroneous(?) one located in the infobox, it already appears to be listed as 27 April 1957, even though it displays as 4 March 1957 back in the article itself. How odd. 70.48.216.22 ( talk) 07:13, 12 January 2014 (UTC) reply
