The area is controversial, and when speaking only of the fauna in it I don't think there's a problem using the information in both articles (
Wildlife of Syria or whatnot). The mating seasons of newts are seldom effected by national borders.

Regardless of whether it is a part of Israel or not, which I do not know much about (though the
Golan Heights article says it is "Internationally recognised as Syrian territory occupied by Israel, De facto annexed to Israel" which I think qualifies it for this use), but the mating seasons also apply to immediately surrounding areas, which are in Israel.

GH is a part of Syria occupied by Israel:
[1], I don't see why there should be information about regions outside of Israel in this article, even if they are regions surrounding Israel. For example the Wildlife of Brazil article does not have information about mating seasons of animals in Venezuela, Colombia, Peru etc. So if wildlife of occupied regions are also included in this article, then the title should be moved to: "Wildlife of Israel and the occupied territories" --

KimiSan, could you please answer to my above post? For example the Wildlife of Brazil article does not have information about mating seasons of animals in Venezuela, Colombia, Peru etc, so why should this article be any different and have text about animals in other countries? --

If you caring so much then go ahead make article about Wildlife of Israeli occupied territories, and then you can go suggest to merge it to this article. That's proper way. Not to sit here and make demands to delete reference and relevant information from article. I agree with what KimiSan said that it makes sense and is qualify to be here.

How is it relevant when its text about an animal outside of Israel? I don't have to make a new article about "Wildlife of Israeli occupied territories", this article already contains Wildlife of Israeli occupied territories. --
