As of now, the article states, "it is often where the rising sun first shines on the 48 contiguous states"----
My question: Is it ever not? I can imagine it not being such because of the tilt of the Earth combined with the season or something, but still. Is it ever not?
My question: Couldn't this be equally true (especially with the "often" in place) or all 50 states? Why narrow it down to the contiguous 48?
So . . . . I'm adding a citation needed. Thmazing ( talk) 18:19, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Cause Alaska is slightly in the eastern hemisphere so it rises first there technically. Julianstout ( talk) 10:05, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
