The Library and Archives of Canada has put Lieutenant W.D. Pidgeon's "Officers' Declaration Paper" online at http://data2.archives.ca/cef/gpc014/580759a.gif. The document is unusual in that it is incomplete and undated, perhaps because of the injury to Pidgeon in training. What it does bring into question is the statement in the Wiki bio stub that Pidgeon enroled in 65 Bty, CFA, when the form clearly states that he was a member of 10 Bty.
Also interesting about the document is that it shows that Pidgeon was already a resident of Boston working in finance during the Great War, so the assertion in the stub that he moved there after the war is slightly misleading. Ab.chaplin 13:04, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
re: "militia", see Canadian Militia. The Canadian militia existed at the time being discussed, but Pidgeon joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF), not the militia.
In the box and in the text of the article, two completely different sets of dates are given for Pidgeon's first marriage. Whoever wrote this article should fix this. Badagnani ( talk) 17:05, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
No mention of Pidgeon's sexuality in here? Wasn't he at the very least bisexual? I know he was married for about 5 decades, but didn't he have affairs with men (definitely Scotty Bowers)? Prokrabsgod2 ( talk) 15:19, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
