Not a lot mention of the history and of the dodems (clans) of Walpole First Nation. Make some room for improvement there? -- Anaccuratesource ( talk) 04:13, 5 October 2015 (UTC) reply

Walpole Island First Nation Walpole Island – Per WP:COMMONNAME. The shorter name is how the subject is referred to in everyday conversation, how it's identified on maps ( for example), widely favored by incoming links, and used in most places within the article itself. Oppose: This article is mainly about the First Nation and its reserve, not the island itself. FUNgus guy ( talk) 02:25, 14 May 2017 (UTC) reply
WP:COMMONNAME still applies. The shorter name is far more commonly used for the community, and the inbound links and the text of the article itself demonstrate that. - Jason A. Quest ( talk) 13:54, 14 May 2017 (UTC) reply
The First Nation is greater than the island/reserve. It includes history, culture, an off-reserve population, as well as traditional territory beyond that which was reserved. FUNgus guy ( talk) 22:58, 14 May 2017 (UTC) reply
