Problem with Former Units Table/Edit Request 3/2/2018
There appears to be a problem with the former units table. This is a mistake I made a while back and for some reason hasn't been corrected. Back in July of last year, I moved #301 to the former units section of the article as that diesel was sold to GMTX in late 2015 with four other Vermont Rail System GP40s as deal for FEC SD70M-2s 431/432. That part of the edit went smooth, however, former unit #381 somehow is now clinging to the side of #301's box rather then being underneath it. I have tried several times over the past few months to fix the mistake, but all attempts have failed miserably.
Good evening, I compiled a roster with the current equipment owned by VRS, noting some errors with the current one on the page. Currently owned units include:
Hours of cataloging, scavenging photos, interacting with railfans around the area, and actively looking for these locomotives. If this will not do, I can assure you with some removals that'd be warranted:
301, sold to GMTX as their 3010
3003, returned to LTEX
303, sold to SSRX as their 3202
306, sold to RNRX as their 3204
308, sold to RNRX as their 3203
309, implied existence, never existed
312, sold to GMTX as their 959
381, sold to BNSF as their 198
501, sold to L&C as their 95, now on RTEX with the same number
I've just reread through the links, the roster has changed since original access of TheDieselShop and Robert C. Jones's book. TheDieselShop is widely regarded as heavily inaccurate on smaller shortline systems, especially for their leniency on revision. Not many news articles cover acquisitions of power, and it's best to scour for videos and images. However, I understand that original research is not tolerated and I will request no further. Also, there should be a new motive power guide in Kevin Burkholder's Vermont Rail System guide, whenever it comes out within the next century, as he hasn't released it in two years.
