The article says that the force has suffered 176 military fatalities. It'd be useful to note in generalities how these came about. Were UN soldiers actually shot by either side, or by civilians? Or were they all in accidents? -- Delirium 21:48, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
The "Background" section only begins in 1995. What happened between 1963 and 1995? 68.146.72.113 ( talk) 19:42, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Evening folks! Having just returned from a two-month detachment to RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus where I learned a great deal about UN operations on the island and spent time in the Buffer Zone, I'd like to propose a merger of United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus with United Nations Buffer Zone in Cyprus. This is because the two articles are both relatively short, start class, and duplicate a lot of information between them. I would suggest the resulting article be structured with sections covering operations before 1974, the buffer zone and current operations. Suggestions are very welcome!
