In the West of Ireland the card game Twenty Five was very popular. Each trick scored Five, and the first person to score Twenty Five won the game. Hence the name, Twenty Five. This would usually take more than one round, although it is possible to win all five tricks in the first round. 80.4.67.116 ( talk) 10:57, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
I’m Irish. I grew up there. I never played twenty fives or heard of it. We played forty five (not forty fives). Essentially the same as what is described here for twenty fives, some elements of 45. I don’t know who thought it is okay to make the assertion that this is THE national game of Ireland. Rickogorman ( talk) 22:04, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
