The article contains a paragraph stating that this 1846 Treaty "resulted in the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond falling into British hands".
Not true, see
Koh-i-Noor,
Koh-i-Noor or
Koh-i-Noor. The Koh-i-Noor was seized by the British in 1849 on the conclusion of the second Anglo-Sikh War of 1848-9. The Treaty formalising the Annexation of the Punjab at the end of this war was signed in Lahore and is sometimes described as the 'Lahore Treaty of 1849' - for example in the third of the three references given above. This probably explains the confusion.

A main source for this article (so far) has been entry for Punjab in the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica project, so the article repeats some of the inaccurate statements contained in that source. Work is needed to correct these and include reliable references.
