Just out of curiosity, should this page perhaps be made into a redirect/merge with the page " Toutin"? - Jeyradan ( talk) 03:44, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
This article should definitely be merged in my opinion; However the classification as a doughnut needs to be changed. If you read the entry for Toutin it states that the Toutin is made from fried bread dough and, is often cooked on the damper of a stove. This is not how Doughnuts are made. The two articles are talking about the same product, albeit, with different spellings. Both spelling are correct (and there are other spellings as well). My mother used to make these often and in our particular clan, which hails from from the Long Pond, Conception Bay South area of Newfoundland, they were known as Toutins. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pbesso ( talk • contribs) 13:26, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
Hello fellow Wikipedians,

after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{

Also known as a 'pan cake' in Newfoundland's Town of Bonavista and surrounding communities, due to it's relative similiarity to a small cake, and fried in a 'pan' or frying pan. |
