Comment: The editor who did the contested move, User:Kopiersperre, links to a DAB page on the Japanese Wikipedia which contains other people with that name. Normally that's not a valid argument in a move discussion on English Wikipedia but opening this request will allow him to offer more evidence, if available. Comment at any rate, this page is misnamed. The disambiguator is not of the proper form; the regular disambiguator is "(racing driver)", so Toru Takahashi (racing driver) is at the very least required, if this doesn't return to the base location -- 67.70.32.190 ( talk) 06:30, 4 August 2015 (UTC) reply

Comment (leaning towards oppose) the second person listed at the Japanese disambiguation page is a baseball pitcher who made two appearances for the Hawks. This makes him notable for the purposes of an article, which I will create tomorrow. So the facts need to be reconsidered before any move is made, because we now have a minor player in Japan's top professional league. Based on the description of the racing driver's career, I think it would be hard to say he is the "primary" topic. AtHomeIn神戸 ( talk) 08:18, 6 August 2015 (UTC) reply
