One conern

While I'm not outright opposed to making pre-1950 tornado articles like this, I am a bit concerned about the amount of sourcing we will have available. Most information on US tornadoes would come just from one source: Grazulis. And I'm not so sure about leaning to heavily on one source. TornadoLGS ( talk) 05:02, 2 December 2022 (UTC) reply

While the ratings will come from Grazulis, there are still sources, especially for any of the ones he rated F3 or higher. A good example is like this NWS page which is NWS Louisville’s database of tornadoes in 1948 in their WFO or this one from NWS Birmingham. Elijahandskip ( talk) 05:19, 2 December 2022 (UTC) reply
Good point. Also, as with 1949, I don't think we need to stick "estimated" with every rating if we just say something about it in the lead. It can help with some repetitive and/or awkward phrasing. TornadoLGS ( talk) 05:26, 2 December 2022 (UTC) reply
