I have been a fan of 'Space Prison' since I bought a copy for a dime in 1963 when I was nine years old. I've since collected and read all of Tom Godwin's published works that I've been able to find - including one story, 'She Was a Child', that I only just discovered last week - and I'm now into collecting foreign editions. The only Edits to a Wiki article that I've ever made were to add Tom Godwin stories to the list on his page. Tom Godwin's life was hard, but the legacy of his writing lives on. godwulfAZ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8800:189:900:6553:444:6BE8:C503 ( talk) 18:41, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

Whoever wrote this article is a dimwit. SPACE PRISON is one of the greatest Science-Fiction novels ever written. It is 'not notable' only to dimwits! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.169.19.101 ( talk) 14:54, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction, pg 504, says he left school in the third grade. Although a high school in Ohio sounds more plausible for a writer the person who added it also stated that he "was a fan of squirrels" so is maybe not reliable. His stepdaughter, Diane Godwin Sullivan, wrote something on him but I can't seem to find a copy of her statements online.-- T. Anthony ( talk) 13:14, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
