I went ahead and included info about him winning the Democratic Party's endorsement vote with a 70% majority as that seems significant and will undoubtedly impact the election in a big way.
Should probably take note of recent allegations that Gloria violated the Political Reform Act with regards to his 2020 re-election campaign, along with rebuttals that his actions were not illegal or abnormal. The allegations have been published in several news sources (NBC, ABC, and others) and a lawsuit has been filed, making it a matter of public scandal. KoenigWrites ( talk) 03:00, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
I added a section on his mayoral campaign and the main issues he is running on (there was not one already?) and on the recent scandal about the campaign funds. I tried to present the allegations and their rebuttals in as neutral a light as possible, but I'd appreciate other eyes on it to make sure it's up to Wikipedia standards. And if anyone could add extra info regarding his campaign, platforms, etc that would be great. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KoenigWrites ( talk • contribs) 08:52, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
Should be at a point to remove the needs to be sourced template fairly quickly. XinJeisan ( talk) 21:49, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Apparently the role he is filling right now has no title in the city charter and does not include the full powers of an elected mayor. Most Reliable Sources are using the title "interim mayor" or "acting mayor". More confusing is the "City Council President" title. I read that he is keeping the title but transferring the duties to the council president pro tem Sherri Lightner. (I saw that in the paper edition of the U-T but can't find a link to it.) --

This page reads like an ad for Todd Gloria for San Diego Mayor 2020, which I don't think is supposed to be the point of Wikipedia since it links to a specific page for that. Is there any way to mark this page for potential bias and to add fact checked criticism to be consistent with other candidate pages? Should we be citing his campaign website? — Preceding unsigned comment added by BanjoDarrell ( talk • contribs) 21:33, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
