I'm working on fleshing this page out and getting it organized. As the longest-serving speaker, she's got quite a record of notable successes and failures. Also, if she ends up Governor, it'll be good to have gotten a head start. Would love your help! — Karichisholm ( talk) 05:52, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
In reviewing this page's history, I noticed that there was some copy about an allegation that Kotek had violated House rules in 2007. Three times (July 14, August 25, August 26) that copy was removed -- and then reverted.
Before I noticed the revert history, I made an edit to the copy to ensure that it matched the cited source. To wit, that the allegation of a rule violation was against Kotek's spouse, not Kotek.
The copy is now accurate -- or at least, it matches the cited source. But now I'm wondering if it should be here at all. After all, this is an article about Kotek, not Kotek's spouse. (Perhaps if she wins the governorship, and her spouse becomes Oregon's first lady, there will be an article about her -- and this copy would be appropriate there.)
But, given the previous edit war, I want to be cautious. Anyone object to removing this copy? I'm going to circle back here in a week to remove if I hear no objections. Thanks! — Karichisholm ( talk) 06:58, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

The following copy was inserted into the middle of a reference markup, causing the reference to blow up. It strikes me as NPOV and unsourced, but I'm adding it here in case whoever put it in (an anonymous IP user) wants to clean it up and try again. Karichisholm ( talk) 18:27, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
There was a dispute here about a half-hour ago between @ Jon698: and @ Abram Schlimper: about whether "Tina" is short for "Christine". I couldn't find any clear RS supporting that, partly because the results were flooded with mentions of Drazan, Kotek's opponent, except for this old filing with the Oregon SoS. One "Christine Kotek" is listed as Treasurer of Tina Kotek's campaign for state House. However, it's possible that Christine Kotek is a relative of Tina Kotek, especially as "Tina Kotek" is given as the candidate's name here. Hope this helps, Augusthorsesdroppings10 ( talk) 16:53, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
A particular anonymous user has felt the need twice in the past week to add "far-left American politician" to the first sentence of this page. It was removed once, then the same IP added it again about a day later, and it has since been removed again. Seems like someone with too much time on their hands is trolling the page. Regardless, this type of edit is inflammatory and overly politicized. They'll probably try this again, so keep an eye out for this and other bad faith edits. 2601:1C0:6480:4ED0:BCEA:6D26:CC93:B011 ( talk) 13:48, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
