Hmm...not Taipei considering this move as propaganda...it is do-able. The main opponents are the Pan-Green Coalition.
this needs a small amount of background, explaining why the links between the two countries are so. i'm aware of a dispute between the countries, but couldn't really say what it is due to, or why it still exists in 2007. Inzy 19:57, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Anyone else think the free-travel part of this plan would completely DESTROY the economy in Taiwan? Massive number of manual labor AND college graduates will move into Taiwan, further worsening the unemployeement problems. Population density will explode, and living cost will increase. The Three Links or Three Linkages (Chinese: 三通; Pinyin: sān tōng) was a "message of Compatriots in Taiwan" calling for the unification of mainland China and Taiwan. It was sent by the PRC National People's Congress in 1979.[1]
What does the opening sentence mean? Thre rest of the article seems to be about links between Taiwan and China, but the first sentence talks about a message. Readin ( talk) 19:31, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
