On the first page of G.I. Joe A Real American Hero Issue #23 (May 1984), it describes The Pit as being located beneath "Fort Wadsworth, N.J." An earlier issue that I can't seem to locate right now also refers to The Pit being in NJ. But Fort Wadsworth (in the real world) is/was on Staten Island in New York, right? Any idea why the comic would place it in New Jersey? Maybe worth mentioning in the article? — Preceding
