Name Change

Since they haven't used "The Irish Airborne" in years, Ohio is for Killers is what they are well known as now, I'm thinking it would be good to have a name change on the article. Thoughts? Mr. C.C. Hey yo! I didn't do it! 02:45, 7 January 2018 (UTC) reply

Mmmm, it's a hard one, since they appears at Impact as oVe. I mean, I don't know their work in the independent circuit, but looks like the national exposure they gained with impact makes Ohio Versus Everyone is the common name, isn't?. -- HHH Pedrigree ( talk) 18:01, 8 January 2018 (UTC) reply
They became even bigger once they changed their name to Ohio is for Killers. But general naming conventions usually go with the name that they used on a mainstream or national level. It might end up being changed to Ohio Versus Everyone. Mr. C.C. Hey yo! I didn't do it! 02:15, 10 January 2018 (UTC) reply
Prefer "Ohio Versus Everything" - realistically TNA has a much larger market penetration than the other places they've wrestled under other names. McPhail ( talk) 20:41, 11 January 2018 (UTC) reply
It's not TNA. It's Impact Wrestling.  ;) We need to be accurate when speaking on different eras of the company. Mr. C.C. Hey yo! I didn't do it! 09:42, 19 February 2018 (UTC) reply

Orphaned references in Ohio Versus Everything

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Ohio Versus Everything's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Ohio Versus Everything The Crist Brothers – This article is about Dave Crist and Jake Crist. But it looks like this article became another article. I think we should create another article named Ohio Versus Everything, and move this article to The Crist Brothers. It should be just like The Usos article, or the The Young Bucks article. As far as I am aware, OVE is Callihan/Irish Airbourne/Fulton) and OI4K is Irish Airbourne. This Impact source says that Sami joined the group OVE at Bound For Glory. This reliable source [4] refers to the trio as members of OVE. StaticVapor message me! 07:05, 23 July 2019 (UTC) reply
@ STATicVapor: Interesting. I have always seen them on TV introduced as Callihan and OVE, not the three of them being called OVE together. Its interesting that the Impact source you provided says he joined in 2017 but 1 year after that the Impact source I gave refers to him the way I described. - Galatz גאליץ שיחה Talk 13:45, 23 July 2019 (UTC) reply
Hmm interesting. Impact Wrestling needs to get their stuff straight lol. Their bio also refers to him as a member and the leader of OVE. You will also see reliable sources calling the group OVE, this is just one example [5]. If anything they might mention him specifically on television just because he is the most known member. StaticVapor message me! 01:56, 24 July 2019 (UTC) reply
I searched cagematch and they have 3 impact matches with all three members teaming together [6] [7] [8] and they all list "oVe (Dave Crist & Jake Crist) & Sami Callihan". I havent watched Impact since they moved from Pop since I no longer get their show. So I do not know what is happening with Fulton, actually first I heard about this (wow, Impact really does not get talked about anymore, huh). The most recent videos on the Impact YouTube channel seems to phrase it the same way [9] [10] [11] [12]. So I have no idea what to think - Galatz גאליץ שיחה Talk 14:17, 24 July 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Support: As stated above, this article covers the Crist Brothers rather than OVE as a whole. OVE currently is the 4 man faction of Callihan, the Crists and Fulton. In addition, this is the most well-known the Crists have been and it's as *part* of OVE, not the whole shebang. SkylerLovefist ( talk) 07:25, 24 July 2019 (UTC) reply
Meybe, it's like TMDK and LAX. Homicide and Hernandez are the most famous part of LAX, but they aren't LAX. If they work as part of other stable (like The OGz vs LAX) they aren't LAX. -- HHH Pedrigree ( talk) 14:18, 25 July 2019 (UTC) reply
Correct, similar to how Hall and Nash were part of the nWo, for example, but they weren't the nWo proper, they were the Outsiders. In the same way, Dave and Jake are part of OVE, but as a team they have been referred to as "Jake and Dave Crist." Madman Fulton also wears an OVE T-Shirt on TV, indicating his membership in the faction. SkylerLovefist ( talk) 10:07, 26 July 2019 (UTC) reply
It should also be noted they all use the same entrance music too, which is an OVE chant over top of music. SkylerLovefist ( talk) 02:26, 27 July 2019 (UTC) reply

The Crist BrothersOhio Versus Everything – There was a discussion, which currently lives at Talk:The_Crist_Brothers#Requested_move_8_July_2019. The closing admin closed it with No consensus to move; substatial opposition to redefining the article scope. Yet despite this, a user chose to unilaterally move the article and split it into The Crist Brothers and OI4K. Please undo the split and move the page back into one.  Galatz גאליץ שיחה Talk 12:32, 22 August 2019 (UTC) reply

Dave Crist

Why has this article been edited to just be about one brother, with Dave removed? Is it because of the allegations against him? They are an important aspect. If this article is just going to be about Jake then rename it for him, and then create a separate article about Dave. Either that, or this piece should be restored to it's original form with both brothers full stories. 185.150.170.2 ( talk) 12:38, 1 December 2022 (UTC) reply
