Nobody asserted it did begin with the films. There is a page for the book series. And the stories are quite different. Is it worth making one page for both the films and the books? Well, I guess, probably, but right now, the book page covers that role. Iunno, thought I'd say that.

There isn't a page for the book series, but there should be, and I agree there should also be "franchise article", that's really all I wanted anyway.

Connie Corleone Page Missing
I just submitted a new page to Wikipedia for Connie Corleone. Why did it not already exist? Apparently, she wasn't a very important character in the books... still. That's odd.

... what? I'm trying to understand how in the world Connie is less significant than... Carmela Corleone, Sandra Corleone, Lucy Mancini, Willi Cicci... Oh, wow, the list of characters who are so insignificant yet have their own wikipedia pages is a mile and three-quarters long, yet Connie, one of the most important characters in the film series, doesn't get her own? I don't mean to imply that mistakes elsewhere mean we should make a mistake here, but I really think this decision has to have been made in error. I could cite things like
this article, but I don't really want to fight you here -- how can I appeal this decision properly? — Preceding
