Not really. The Secret Life of Toys was developed several years later using many of the same characters (replacing Apple with a rag doll named Raisin, and Belmont with a rocking horse named Hortense).

It probably is, I mean you only need to read the plot to see the similarities, but I doubt anyone at Pixar would ever admit it. Maybe add something about someone making a comparison if you can find it but otherwise I don't see anything we could add to the article.
