all the dates here say 2010 but should say 2011 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.110.80.51 ( talk) 22:03, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Yeah but most singles will be released in 2011, it's only the time that was released this year, but all the other songs wont be released until 2011, so you can consider the beginning as a 2011 album, right?

The song Fashion Beats have a distinctive funk guitar at the end, and Don't Stop The Party has a very funky slap-bass. Should we add funk to genres?
-- 91.154.102.95 ( talk) 16:17, 8 January 2011 (UTC) We should add a alternative cover, its the same but the backround is black and avatars backround has different colors, i think its a european cover, because i bought the album in london or it maybe be a deluxe edition im not sure. can somebody add this?
The Beginning alternative cover
-- 91.154.102.95 ( talk) 19:08, 8 January 2011 (UTC) I agree, we should add the alternative cover, on The Black Eyed Peas website they have the both covers and there twitter photo they have the black cover instead of the white.
-- 91.154.102.95 ( talk) 19:13, 8 January 2011 (UTC) I agree, I think we should have the black cover as the main and the white cover as the alternative cover, just google: The Black Eyed Peas The Beginning and there a double moore black covers than white.
-- 91.154.103.59 ( talk) 13:42, 23 January 2011 (UTC) Just Cant Get Eenough cover art a has been released.

I think it's that time when the next single is gonna be announced. The Peas are announcing them on three month intervals, from November to February is three months, so 3 months from February is May, so can we expect a new single this month? Giggett ( talk) 18:50, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
A few days ago it said their next single will be The Best One Yet. Is this true? (i hope not bad choice)

The Black Eyed Peas made a song called "Someday" for the soundtrack of "Knight and Day" but it isn't on their Album "The Beginning". They made 2 different songs called "Someday" in 2010, one for "The Beginning" and one for the soundtrack!
THREE (3) ARE THE OFFICIAL SINGLES FROM THE BEGINNING...STOP ADDING XOXOXO OR WHENEVER AS THE LAST SINGLES BECAUSE THEY AREN'T..STOP/..!I A BEP FAN ( PEABODY ) AND I KNOW THAT.

Wow. Lots of socks and edit warring here. Here's what we have, source-wise.
From that I take: Pop (per EW and AVClub, with a dash of The Guardian), hip hop is weakly mentioned by The Guardian, but specifically trashed by AVClub.
This type of thing has gone one of two ways in the past: Nobody comments, I make the change and suddenly everyone has comments. After a bit of that, I open some sock cases, clear those out and make the changes. The second possibility is there are a few comments, we weed out the socks and I make the changes. I'm fine with either one. Either outcome ends the edit warring here and makes it a bit easier to clean up the other articles those same socks are working on now.

It would seem I missed an edit or two at some point. A very prolific sock who simply cannot understand that the Black Eyed Peas in general -- and a few of their albums in particular -- are pop. A few more socks have been blocked and I'd expect a few more to show up.
I have restored pop, as discussed above under "Genre". Anyone who wishes to dispute this, feel free to discuss the issue here. - SummerPhD v2.0 00:29, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
SSDD: Banned editors are still banned. Sources which do not discuss a genre are still not sources for that genre. A guideline discussing Allmusic's sidebar still does not discuss EW's sidebar. - SummerPhD v2.0 03:07, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
Please note the genre warrior is back using the same tired sidebar argument discussed above under "Genre". - SummerPhD v2.0 16:52, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
This source does not say the album is hip hop. It says, "You can probably imagine what it sounds like: minimalist drum machine beats, techno-lifted synth pulses, plinky keyboard hooks, retro-fitted hip-hop callbacks, pitch-shifted vocals, and songs that chain your brain to the furnace and beat you over the head with their cursed affability."
While I can see an argument for saying this source calls it techno (it throws the word around enough but never quite labels the album), it is a student newspaper, fitting neither our general standards for reliable sources nor our limitation on reviews ("professional"). - SummerPhD v2.0 12:10, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
