Old website is dead. Expansion plans detailed are from 2010. Does this chain still exist? Can someone update the article with some current information? Regardless of whether the company is alive or history. In the meantime I have added the update template.

The article notes: "McDonald's has called time on its disastrous foray into coffee bars by selling most of the Aroma chain to Caffe Nero after losing more than £20m on the venture in three years."
The article notes: "The acquisition is the first time McDonald's has bought another chain outside the US with the aim of developing it as a separate brand."
Comment: The article was nominated for deletion at
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aroma Café, where I found the article and rewrote it. The AfD is open at the time of this DYK nomination.
Article has been kept at AfD, so starting the review
Y Article is long enough (10626 characters), has been 5x expanded according to DYK Check, nominated in time (expansion started 20 May, nominated 23 May), and article is within policy. Copyvio tool gets 39.7% chance of copyvio, but these are all direct quotes so not actually copyvios
Y Hook is short enough, interesting, and well-cited (by combination of the 2 sources)
? QPQ not done.
