Plot Summary
The plot summary reads too much like the back of a book (i.e., it advertises and doesn't summarize). Could someone rewrite it to be more, uh, summary-y? I'd do it, but I suck at writing summaries

The plot summary states that "as Mathilde is about to shoot Jack she is shot from the side," suggesting that this is another shooter (Pavel perhaps?) However, it seems clear from the film that she is wounded because the rifle was sabotaged by Jack/Edward when he became suspicious of her. — Preceding

Just watched the movie on free-TV, and is clear that the rifle explodes when fired. That injures Mathilde in the face, and she falls. Regards,

I tend to agree. This is more about opinion and interpretation than it is about summarizing the plot. If you would like to include your interpretation, that should be a second section. Interpreting what "viewers" are meant to get out of a plot element.

I agree with the interpretation, however the only thing clear is that Jack falls over the wheel because the claxon starts to sound continuously, and Clara repeatedly calls him. Regards,

This is still the "old" (i.e. completely ruthless) Jack who immediately realises that Ingrid is a witness which could potentially endanger him and therefore needs to be eliminated.

That, or he suspects her being the one who informed the Swedish snipers where they could find him. In reality it was probably Pavel who had sent those guys. But this is me guessing. Anyway, the explanation now given in the article, i.e. "Knowing his identity is in jeopardy ... Jack kills Ingrid" is not supported by anything, text or otherwise, in the film.

Why is it Pavel wants Jack dead?
When Jack shoots Pavel I expected some explanation from the latter. "You knew too much" or "I envied your girlfriend" or whatever. None is given, Pavel dies on the spot.
